E-LEARNING DEVELOPER

Job Summary

Unified Strategic is seeking an experienced E-Learning Developer to provide technical expertise to assist the Learning and Development team in developing new e-learning courses and revising existing e-learning courses. The Developer will support internal and external projects and is responsible for tasks and assignments associated with the development of training. This requires collaboration with the internal team, external client teams, and management to ensure requirements are being met and projects are kept on schedule.

Responsibilities

E-learning Design

  • Create/Revise visually-pleasing, content-rich learning solutions with user-friendly interfaces and intuitive navigation using commercial course authoring and other web tools
  • Work with internal and project teams to design and develop SCORM and 508 compliant e-learning courses
  • Develop storyboards and scripts for e-learning and virtual live training
  • Upload and configure e-learning content into learning management system
  • Integrate emerging instructional methods and technologies into e-learning


Instruction Design

  • Develop instructor guides, employee guides, and Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
  • Apply creative and Universal Design to the discipline of instructional design with an emphasis on multimedia
  • Apply interaction design and interactive learning principles to instructional solutions for adult learners
  • Select, modify, and integrate existing instructional materials that employ multimedia and emerging technologies

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in multimedia design, graphic design, or instructional design, or a related field in training development
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the design and development of eLearning content
  • Demonstrated ability to understand learning needs and manage the learning experience to ensure effective learner results
  • Strong understanding and application of adult learning theory, instructional design process, industry standards, and best practices
  • Experience developing content for different modalities (e.g., instructor-led, eLearning, virtual training, blended learning)
  • Knowledge of Section 508 standards and accessible design best practices
  • Ability to solve problems creatively
  • Proven ability to use data for continuous improvement and evaluation
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Ability to work with a wide array of team members from different levels within the organization
  • Ability to work with diverse member organizations to understand needs, concerns, and opportunities
  • Ability to manage vendors to effectively scope requirements and manage timelines, budget, and deliverables
  • Experience with authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Lectora, Camtasia, or similar
  • Familiarity with learning management systems and other learning technology
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook) and Google G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)

 

Experience

  • Strong background in adult learning, instructional strategy, and design methodologies.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience creating high-quality, interactive, and effective learning solutions. Experience using learning technology tools and applications
